75-year-old Oakland man shot and kille while sitting in his car
Friends have identified the man, shot and killed in his car on Wednesday night in East Oakland as Earl Rhue of Oakland. Friends tell me the 75-year-old was at their home watching the Warriors play, but went outside during halftime to go smoke in his car. That's when friends say Rhue was shot. They suspect it was attempted carjacking. Oakland police have not said what the motive was for the shooting or if Rhue was targeted. Police are still looking for whoever's responsible for killing Rhue.
