Santa Clara County cuts ties with Cal Fire for service in rural areas

On Tuesday, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted to end a long-standing agreement with Cal Fire for fire protection service in rural, unincorporated areas of what's known as "south county," beginning July 1.
