Decision made to euthanize whale seen at Emeryville Marina

Local experts with the Marine Mammal Center have decided to euthanize a juvenile minke whale at the Emeryville Marina on Tuesday. The whale's condition deteriorated throughout the day. Minke whale sightings are rare in the Bay, but they have been known to happen.
