
Surgery Centers cutting down on plastic
Earth Day is on Tuesday and Kaiser Permanente's eye surgery centers in Walnut Creek and Antioch are doing their part to conserve. Thanks to a plant based product, Kaiser has been able to eliminate over 300,000 plastic surgical trays and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 70,500 pounds. Keeping plastics out of our landfills and helping our environment. Doctor Naveen Chandra, an ophthalmologist with Kaiser in the East Bay joined us on set to tell us more.
