Amber Alert for 2-yr-old girl abducted by her parents and maternal grandmother
The CHP deactivated the Amber Alert for 2-year-old Amira Coleman of Oakland on Wednesday around 12:20am after the child was located. The alert was issued on Tuesday when the child was taken from her paternal grandmother Alicia Benjamin's home on Tuesday around 12:30pm. The child was abducted by her father Andrew Coleman who is Benjamin's son, his girlfriend Tamira Claggion who is the child's mother, and the child's maternal grandmother Cholita West. Benjamin, whose face was scratched and bruised, told KTVU she had been violently attacked by the child's mother and grandmother when they came to Benjamin's home. Benjamin said she gained temporary custody of the child in April due to alleged domestic violence between her parents. Benjamin said police brought her granddaughter back to her home after locating her at a home in East Oakland and that police told her the 3 suspects are now in police custody.
