"Balcony on the World" History of the SF Aquatic Boathouse featured in documentary
From a distance, it looks like a boat on the shoreline near Fisherman's Wharf. The San Francisco Aquatic Boathouse is now the home of the San Francisco Maritime Museum. When it was built back in 1939, it was a public bathhouse and WPA project that featured the work of local muralists and artisans. Its unique and storied history is now the focus of a new documentary.
