Woman riding scooter killed in SJ hit & run collision; driver sought by police

San Jose police detectives said on Monday they're searching for the driver of a vehicle that hit a woman riding a scooter on Santa Clara Street at Cahill Street, and then sped off. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but pronounced dead.
