'End of life option' Act, inspired by Brittany Maynard, now permanent in California
Gov. Gavin Newsom has been busy signing a number of bills into law this week. One of those bills is being praised by supporters of medical aid in dying. It's called Senate Bill 403, and it was inspired by the story of Brittany Maynard, who became a national advocate for end of life choices ten years ago.
