Kittle returns, but 49ers backups step into starting roles against Atlanta
There was a mix of good news and bad news from the San Francisco 49ers on Friday. Head coach Kyle Shannahan announced starting tight end George Kittle will return to the lineup for the first time since suffering a Week 1 hamstring injury. But starting wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and quarterback Brock Purdy were both ruled out of the team's game against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.
