Federal resources dispatched to Washington | West Coast Wrap

President Trump on Friday granted a request from Washington state leaders for an emergency declaration regarding the historic flooding that has stranded residents in their homes. Rescuers have been using helicopters, boats and high-water trucks to bring people to safety. Most of the flooding has been in communities east of Seattle, and weather reports show the water is unlikely to recede soon — projections show more rain is on the way.
