Off-duty Oakland firefighter killed in shooting, another injured
A 30-year-old off-duty probationary Oakland firefighter was killed in a shooting in San Jose Thursday night, and his 26-year-old colleague was injured, according to fire officials. The Oakland Fire Department has identified the deceased firefighter as Jake Walter.
