Roxanne Seraphin, who was furloughed from her job as an esthetician, found herself with 6 weeks of penalty time before she could get unemployment insurance. When she was trying to figure out why she was penalized, and how long it would be before she got her funds, she couldn't reach the EDD. So, she wrote a letter, which she thinks is probably the fastest way to reach the EDD during the pandemic.
