Pacific Gas and Electric is requesting a $3.6 billion rate hike over four years in the name of wildfire safety. It could increase your bill by hundreds of dollars a year. As you'd expect, customers are not happy. The Utility Reform Network says rates in 2021 have already increased 12% before the new rate request.
