Oakland Chinatown officials welcome increased CHP patrols, but say more help is needed

Homicides in Oakland are up 38% compared to this time last year and it comes amid a rise in anti-AAPI violence. Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce President Carl Chan welcomes the announcement of more CHP patrols, but is working hard to get even more resources, including on a federal level to combat crime.
