3 GOP candidates participate in recall election debate, Elder and Newsom are no-shows

Ballots in California's recall election have already been mailed out ahead of Sept. 14, but GOP candidates held their second debate in a week, highlighting the importance of getting the word out. Larry Elder, the leading Republican candidate, did not participate. Neither did Gov. Gavin Newsom who was also invited.
