Oakland Chinatown leader disappointed hate crime charge dropped in attack case

"When it's not being charged as a hate crime doesn't mean it's not a hate crime," says Oakland Chinatown leader Carl Chan, who was attacked back in April when anti-AAPI violence came to a head. He's disappointed prosecutors are dropping the hate crime charge as part of a plea bargain.
