Slightly warmer today
Happy Saturday! The Bay Area will remain near average through next week. Morning coastal clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine, with highs ranging from the 60s at the coast and 70s near the bay to low 80s-low 90s inland. While afternoon onshore winds could gust up to 30 mph near the coast and through gaps and passes, dry warm conditions remain in our hills. In regard to Tropical Storm Moke, the storm is forecast to pass south of the Hawaiian Islands this weekend, but it could still bring heavy rain, strong winds and dangerous surf, particularly on the Big Island, where 5 to 10 inches of rain, and isolated totals up to 15 inches, could trigger flash flooding and mudslides. A Flood Watch is in effect from late Saturday night through Monday afternoon.
