San Jose machete attack victim says neighbor threatened him for years before assault

An East San Jose man is recovering after police say his neighbor struck him in the head with a machete, leaving him with about a dozen staples. The victim told KTVU he had reported years of alleged threats and property crimes before the attack, which prompted an hours-long police standoff.
