Record number of people dipping into their 401(k) early, report finds
More Americans are tapping into their retirement savings as financial pressures mount. New data from Vanguard shows 6% of 401(k) participants took hardship withdrawals last year, which is about three times the rate seen before the pandemic. Many say they needed the money to cover emergency medical bills or avoid eviction and foreclosure. Glenn Williams, CEO of Primerica, joined us on 'The Nine' to discuss the trend.
