49ers’ Defensive Tackle Sam Okuayinonu’s journey has been unique and challenging. He grew up in the war-torn West African County of Liberia. Which had civil wars in the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s. Separated from his mother, Okuayinonu made it to the East Coast of the United States, where he began to carve out an entirely new and foreign life. Joe Fonzi has his life story and football story.
