Hispanic Heritage Month: Mexican-American woman making television history

For Hispanic Heritage Month, meet Sylvia Villagran — a first-generation Mexican American whose voice has become part of some of television’s biggest moments. She made history in 2023 as the first announcer to voice the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars and Tonys in the same year. She’s also lent her voice to the NFL, major network promos and national campaigns — in both English and Spanish.
