President Trump on Wednesday doubled down on his threat to strip all sanctuary cities and other jurisdictions starting on Feb. 1. The president referred to sanctuary cities as criminal protection centers. There are several sanctuary cities and counties in the Bay Area. California itself is a sanctuary state.
