Bay Area- based journalist chronicles his journey across America in the days after 9/11
Peter Laufer was in New York City when the unimaginable happened on September 11, 2001. He was stranded in NY after flights were grounded, so he decided to drive cross-country to get home to San Francisco. During that drive he documented a deeply shaken America. He repeated that same road trip 10 and 20 years later. Now, 25 years after his original journey, he released his book 'We Are All Americans' to breakdown what he witnessed.
