1 killed in multi-vehicle crash in Stockton; Hwy 4 EB lanes closed

All lanes of eastbound Highway 4 in Stockton were closed shortly before 5 p.m. when a person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Monday. 

According to officials at the scene, the victim who died was a male who was ejected from the vehicle. Four others were injured, two of them are in critical condition, but the condition of the others was not immediately available. 

The accident happened just before 3 p.m. at Filbert Street. Two big rigs and at least two other cars were involved in the collision. 

Traffic officials are warning drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. It was not known when the eastbound lanes would re-open.
