1 shot, 1 stabbed near Martinez, suspect outstanding
MARTINEZ, Calif. (KTVU) - Police say a suspect in an alleged assault with a deadly weapon incident near Martinez is at large.
According to Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened just before 6 p.m. on the 1300 block of Shell Avenue Tuesday night. Officials said a task force called CASE (Contra Costa County Anti-Violence Support Effort) was attempting to serve a search warrant at a residence in the unincorporated area.
When the officers heard gunshots outside the home they were serving the warrant at, they responded to the front of the house where they found a person who had been shot and another who was stabbed.
Both were treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital, said police, but the suspect remains outstanding.
