15 people, 1 dog rescued from fishing boat taking on water near Golden Gate Bridge
15 people and one dog were rescued from a fishing boat that hit the rocks on the shoreline below the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge and began taking on water.
The Sheriff’s office tweeted at 4:42 p.m. Thursday that the U.S. Coast Guard was on the scene with the damaged boat.
Coast guard SF says that they got a call of a 50 ft. sporting vessel with 15 people on board was taking on water and running aground. The Coast Guard has two vessels on scene along with the South Marin County fireboat assisting with off boarding the passengers.
U.S. Park Police are also said to be near Kirby Cove and are ready to assist.
There were no reports of injuries nor any information on why the boat started taking on water.
