A 16-year-old girl has died in a Tuesday evening downtown Oakland shooting.

Initially it was reported that there were six people shot, but police have corrected that information to say that four people total were shot.

The victims are both male and female with ages ranging from their mid-teens to early 20s.

Police said the three surviving victims who were transported to hospitals are in stable condition.

The incident was reported around 5:41 p.m., in the area of Franklin Street between 13th and 14th streets.

A vigil for Josiah Pratt and Jamari Wilson was underway at the time. The 15-year-old Oakland boys drowned in a reservoir near Modesto during Memorial Day weekend.

A witness says people were just starting to leave the vigil when someone started shooting near the corner of 14th and Franklin.

There was no word on suspects or arrests. Police will have more information Wednesday morning after 7 a.m.
