17 SFO flights canceled because of east coast severe weather

SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BCN) -- Four departures to Logan International Airport in Boston from San Francisco International Airport were canceled Sunday, airport officials said.

Also, seven flights from Logan to San Francisco International Airport have been canceled, said San Francisco International Airport duty manager Bob Rotiski.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for central and eastern Massachusetts until Monday morning. Six to 12 inches of snow is expected to fall in the area.

One departure to, and five arrivals from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York have been canceled as well, Rotiski said.
