2 men arrested in Milpitas with stolen mail, credit cards

MILPITAS, Calif. (BCN) - Two men were arrested Oct. 13 on suspicion of several crimes, including identity theft, Milpitas police reported.
Allan David Yap and Hoi Soo Yang, both residents of San Jose, were spotted in a car in the parking lot of a motel in the 400 block of Valley Way in Milpitas shortly before midnight Oct. 13. One officer saw drug paraphernalia in plain view in the car and detained both men, police said.
Further search of the men's car revealed several pieces of stolen mail and credit cards from residents in Milpitas, San Jose and Los Altos.
Initially, both men gave false identities to police, but their true names were later discovered. Both men had outstanding warrants, Yap for possession of stolen property, and Yang for narcotics violations.
Both men were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on their warrants.
