2 people, pets rescued in 2-alarm San Mateo County Fire
WOODSIDE, Calif. - Two residents and their pets were rescued Sunday morning when their home in Emerald Lake Hills in San Mateo County caught fire, Cal Fire said.
One of the residents was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and was last reported to be in stable condition. The two pets rescued were also reported to be in stable condition.
Officials said the blazes prompted a two-alarm response from crews.
Officials said they were able to quickly knock down the fire before it had the chance to spread to nearby homes or vegetation.
What we don't know:
The cause of the fire remains unclear.
