2 separate deadly shootings minutes apart in Oakland

Oakland police were investigating two separate deadly shootings that happened just minutes apart on Tuesday night. 

The first was reported at about 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of 23rd Street and Martin Luther King Junior Way. 

About five minutes later, police responded to another shooting at 11th and Center Streets in West Oakland. 

In the first shooting, we're told by a witness that the victim was a man in his 30s and that he was a homeless man living in a tent at an encampment. 

The witness said police responded quickly and performed CPR, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

In the second incident a man was shot in the head. Police said both victims died from their injuries. 

There have been no arrests made in either incident.
