3 arrested on suspicion of trafficking minors

A man and two women were arrested in Rohnert Park this morning on suspicion of trafficking minors, police said.

Just after 2 a.m., police investigating "suspicious subjects" in the parking lot of a Budget Inn received a report from a concerned father who said his daughter was missing and may be in Rohnert Park.

The individuals in the parking lot gave the officers false names and conflicting stories as to what they were doing at the motel, police said.

After investigating further, police determined that the adults were with allegedly trafficked minors.

Officers removed the minors from the situation and arrested Joanna McClenahan, 26, Marilee Romine, 19 and Edwin Prasad, Jr., 18.

The three suspects were booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
