3 Bay Area DMV offices continue to experience major technical glitch

DMV offices are recovering after a major technical glitch.

As of Wednesday morning 104 offices were experiencing outages with 11 in the Bay Area.

By Thursday morning three Bay Area DMV offices were still experiencing outages. Those offices include Concord, Redwood City and Santa Clara.

People waited in line Wednesday morning at a DMV location in Santa Clara only to be turned away when the doors opened.

The DMV is suggesting people check the list online to find an office that's not experiencing technical issues. Of course, lines are expected to be longer at the offices that are up and running.

The computer outage issue began Monday and crews have been working to rebuild the system. The DMV says the outage was not a hack, it's some sort of hardware issue.

It's unclear when the system will be back up and running.
