Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a Millbrae man whose body was found along a freeway, police said Monday.

Police said Kaveh Bayat, 29, and his girlfriend, Tiffany Li, 30, both of Hillsborough and Olivier Adella, 40, of Burlingame, are facing charges in the death of Keith Green. The three suspects were booked into the Maguire jail and charged with murder and conspiracy, investigators said in a written statement.

Police said the suspects are expected to be arraigned Tuesday. Bond was not issued for the three suspects.

Green, 27, was first reported missing by his roommate on April 28. Investigators said hikers found his cell phone in Golden Gate Park on April 29 and his body was found on May 11 along Highway 101 in Sonoma County near Healdsburg, Calif.

Police said Green did not return home after he met with Li at the Millbrae Pancake House the night before. Investigators have said Li was Green's ex-girlfriend. She is also the mother of his two children, investigators said.

Detectives served two search warrants last week. Friday afternoon, detectives searched Adella's home in the 1800 block of Trousdale Drive in Burlingame. Li and Bayat were taken into custody on May 21 after San Mateo SWAT officers raided a home in Hillsborough at 4 a.m.

“They’re both being charged with the action and working together," said Zuno.

The sheriff's office did not provide a motive for the murder.

"Yes, we do know the cause of death, but because it’s still an on-going investigation, we can’t release those details. What I can tell you is that the body was not manipulated," said Sheriff's spokesman Salvador Zuno.

Zuno would not elaborate on what he meant by Green's body not being manipulated, but said his body wasn't burned.

All three suspects will be arraigned Tuesday at 1 p.m.
