3 Teens shot in parked car in Berkeley

Three teenagers were in the hospital Wednesday morning, after they were shot Tuesday night, while sitting in a parked car in Berkeley.

It happened at about 7:30 p.m. the on 1100 block of Parker Street, near San Pablo Avenue.

The shooter approached them, and opened fire, but investigators are trying to determine if the person was in another car, or walked up to them.

There are conflicting reports about the ages of the victims, but it's believed that they range from about 16 to 19.

Two are in serious condition, the third victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Examine evidence, canvass for witnesses, talk to anybody who may have seen this, and so at this point, we just don't have too much information to provide," said  Officer Jennifer Coats, Berkeley Police Department.

All three victims live in Berkeley.

Police do not know if the shooter was targeting one of them, or all three.

Officers are asking anyone who may have information about the shooting to call them.
