5-year-old hero goes on shopping spree

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The San Bernardino county fire department is showing off the spirit of giving to a five-year-old hero.

Nathaniel Stocks was given the prestigious title of hero after saving his grandmother from their burning home in Phelan, on November 7th.

Officials say the boy actually crawled through the smoke to wake his grandmother up.

Most of Nathaniel's toys burned in the fire.

To honor him for his brave work, the fire department took the Nathaniel on a shopping spree at a San Bernardino Target on Sunday.

The San Bernardino County professional firefighters local 935 union sponsored the shopping spree.
