An AC Transit bus was involved in a crash at the Fremont/Folsom Street exit in San Francisco around 9:25 a.m. Wednesday.

The bus was headed northbound on Folsom when it clipped another AC Transit bus before crashing.

The bus also collided with other vehicles, a light pole and some scaffolding. The bus is now on the sidewalk of the 200 block of Fremont Street. Police tell KTVU the bus driver may have suffered a medical emergency before she crashed. However, the official cause of the crash is under investigation.

At least four people were injured and were taken to the hospital including the driver of the bus. Several passengers had to be extracted from the bus. KTVU is told the injuries were non-life threatening.

One man was able to jump out of the way from the path of the bus and walk away alive.

The downtown area will be impacted by traffic within a four block radius.

The Folsom Street exit has since reopened.
