An Antioch City Council member was involved in an injury crash Tuesday night, after a council meeting.

It happened on A Street, near the Highway 4 off-ramp at about 10:20 p.m.

Mayor Wade Harper says he was leaving the meeting, when he saw Councilwoman Lori Ogorchock standing on the side of the road.

Reports from the CHP dispatch log indicate that a Honda may have crashed into a construction cone vehicle, and clipped Councilwoman Ogorchock's car.

The driver of the Honda had to be extricated and rushed to the hospital.

While Mayor Harper waited for paramedics, he tried to keep the trapped driver calm, until help arrived.

Mayor Harper is a former police officer, who has handled  emergency situations in his career.

Councilwoman Ogorchock was not hurt in the crash.
