Antioch police release sketches, video in connection with August killing
ANTIOCH, Calif. (BCN) - Antioch police on Monday released artists' sketches of two suspects in an Aug. 19 shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.
Police said a video obtained from a gas station on Somersville Road a short distance from an apartment complex in the 2200 block of San Jose Drive shows a late-model silver Dodge Charger with black racing stripes driven by whom police believe is one of the suspects in the killing of 19-year-old Anthony Singh of Vallejo.
Police believe the suspect - wearing a red sweatshirt "with what appear to be yellow silhouettes of people" on the front - waited for Singh's car to pass by the gas station before pulling behind him and following Singh to the apartment complex.
Singh was killed, and a second man wounded, in the early-morning shooting at the San Jose Drive apartment complex parking lot. Singh's body was found in his car; the other person who was shot was found nearby in the parking lot.
Police seek the public's help in identifying the Dodge Charger and/or the two suspects. Anyone who can give information on this or any other aspect of the case is asked to call Antioch police Detective Adrian Gonzalez at (925) 779-6923.
