Apple raises Apple TV prices: Here’s how much it will cost you

Apple raised the monthly price of Apple TV on Friday from $12.99 to $14.99. The annual subscription increased from $99 to $119.

The company also raised the cost of Apple One, its bundled subscription service that includes Apple TV, iCloud storage, Apple Music and Apple Arcade. The individual Apple One plan now costs $21.95 per month, up from $19.95.

Apple last increased the price of its streaming service a year ago, when the monthly rate rose from $9.99 to $12.99. Apple TV launched in 2019 at $4.99 per month.

Big picture view:
The move follows price increases across the streaming industry. Peacock, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+, Max and YouTube Premium have all raised some subscription prices in recent years, with several increasing rates for ad-free plans.
Apple TV offers shows including "Ted Lasso," "Your Friends and Neighbors," "The Morning Show," "Severance," "Silo" and "Matter." The service also holds exclusive rights to Charlie Brown specials and Formula 1 racing.
Apple Music’s monthly price increased in July from $10.99 to $11.99.
The backstory:
The price changes come after Apple reported record revenue of $109.4 billion for its June quarter, exceeding analysts’ estimates of $108.65 billion in its final earnings report before CEO Tim Cook steps down.
A 22% increase in iPhone sales and record spring-quarter Mac revenue helped fuel the results. Tariff refunds also lifted the company’s profit by roughly 5% during the period.
