Arson suspect sought for setting homeless person's tent on fire

Authorities in Oakland are looking for a suspected arsonist who they say intentionally set an unoccupied tent on fire belonging to an un-housed resident.

Oakland police and fire department say the incident occurred May 25 at 12:33 a.m. on the 2400 block of Union Street in West Oakland.

The suspect is described a male of unknown race and age, but is said to be approximately 5’8” to 6’ tall, wearing a light colored jacket with black sleeve, black jeans and had on a backpack.

The suspect was also riding a bicycle.
