Authorities search for woman caught on video throwing dog in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD (KTVU/FOX 40) - The Humane Animal Services of Solano County and the Fairfield Police Department are looking for a woman who was seen on surveillance video throwing her dog.

The video was posted on Facebook and has already received almost 40,000 views.

Police believe the suspect, Brandi Chin, may have abused the dog before.

Candy Seward, the woman who lives at the home where the surveillance video was shot, said her roommate is Chin's boyfriend.

Seward said the pug, named Ben, was hurt in a heated argument between the couple.

Seward said she and others in the video wanted to take the dog from Chin, but she stormed off with the pug before anyone could.

Authorities believe Chin is hiding in the Vallejo area.
