Back-to-back early morning fires in Vallejo

VALLEJO, Calif. (KTVU) -- Investigators are looking for connections between two fires that occurred within a few feet of each other, and less than half an hour apart early Tuesday morning.

The first fire happened at 1:27 a.m., at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue restaurant at 4300 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo Fire Department spokesman Mark Libby said.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and damage to the building was minimal, according to Libby.

Then at 1:51 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at the Animal Advocates Veterinarian Hospital located at 3899 Sonoma Blvd.

Fire crews also brought that fire quickly under control.

Investigators believe the fire started outside, and flames spread to the attic, Libby said.

This fire was also the second to occur at the location within the last month, according to Libby.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
