BART recovers after major delays in East Bay due to equipment problem
HAYWARD, Calif. (KTVU) - East Bay BART commuters faced a slow start to the morning commute Wednesday due a broken switch between the Hayward and South Hayward stations.
BART is now recovering from the delays.
This delays impacted riders at the Hayward, South Hayward, Union City, and Fremont stations.
Trains were getting through to those stations, but they were experiencing major delays in all directions.
A BART spokesperson confirmed to KTVU that a broken piece of equipment is to blame.
