Berkeley College Republicans confronted, table vandalized
BERKELEY, Calif. - Members of the Berkeley College Republicans say they were rushed by protesters at a tabling event on campus Wednesday.
Jose Marine Diaz, President of the Berkeley College Republicans, said a group of people stormed their table and damaged a Donald Trump cutout.
He also said that one of the BCR members who attempted to film the altercation was pushed and has his cell phone grabbed away.
Here is video of that altercation. Warning - graphic language.
"BCR will continue to stand resolute in exercising our right to free speech. We will not yield to any attempts to compromise this fundamental right!" Diaz said.
Campus police responded to the scene and set up a table adjacent to BCR.
