Berkeley Police investigating shooting near marina
BERKELEY, Calif. (KTVU) - Police are investigating a shooting in Berkeley that left one man hospitalized.
Officer responded to the Berkeley Marina area at 3:40 Saturday morning, near the Berkeley pier on University Avenue. Officers say they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
His car was off the roadway on the San Francisco Bay Seawall, according to officers.
The victim was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
While officers were investigating, they arrested a person in the area. He was arrested on unrelated charges, but police say he is a person of interest in the shooting.
Neither the victim nor person of interest is a Berkeley resident.
