Bicyclist killed in Garden Grove intersection

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (AP) — The driver of a car who struck and killed a bicyclist in a Garden Grove intersection will not be facing charges.

The Orange County Register reports (http://bit.ly/1K6Tpgm ) that the 58-year-old Victorville man rode his bike through a red light and was struck by a 22-year-old woman.

Garden Grove police Lt. Bob Bogue says the name of the man has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The man hit the front fender of the car and the windshield. He was taken to UCI Medical Center where he died.
