Bicyclist suffers critical injuries after being hit by car in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - A bicyclist who was hit by a car early Monday evening in San Jose is suffering critical injuries.

KTVU’s Jesse Gary is reporting from the scene of the accident at First and Mission. The car driver is apparently cooperating with police.

VTA’s Guadalupe line is impacted and was said to be at a standstill. The transit agency has set up a bus bridge between Gish and St. James Station, in effect for three hours and is affecting two lines; Alum Rock and Mountain View to Winchester Line.
