Oakland firefighters mopping up blaze that consumed abandoned train trestles near EBMUD facility

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland firefighters on Sunday morning are mopping up hot spots after a fire burned a set of old train trestles near an East Bay Municipal Utility District wastewater treatment plant on Saturday night.
What we know:
The Oakland Fire Department issued an advisory just before 10:05 p.m. on Saturday telling residents near the intersection of West Grand and Wake avenues to keep their windows shut as firefighters battled a blaze burning in brush and consuming old train trestles in the area.
Forward progress of the fire was quickly stopped, and no structures were threatened. However, residents in the area were advised to keep their windows and doors closed throughout the night as firefighters worked to completely extinguish the blaze.
What's next:
OFD firefighters were still on the scene as of about 10 a.m. on Sunday continuing to mop up lingering hot spots.
