Boy battling cancer, who bonded with Steph Curry, has died

The 8-year-old boy battling cancer who bonded with Warriors star Steph Curry has died.

Brody Stephens' father told the Indianpolis Star the sad news Sunday morning.

Brody had been battling acute lyphoblastic leukemia. He loved the Warriors- and Steph Curry visited him in the hospital in the fall. 

Curry spent about an hour with Brody at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. The pair FaceTimed with teammate Klay Thompson and Curry's daughter, Riley. 

Brody even traveled tot he Bay Area to play and practice alongside the team.
